New flyover between Killwangen and Dietikon

In October 2000, a new flyover was put into service between the stations of Killwangen-Spreitenbach and Dietikon.

The flyover takes the outbound express track over the other three main tracks. Here is a roughly-to-scale drawing of the flyover and track assignments:

Here are two views of how the flyover looks to a dispatcher in the Zurich dispatching center (north is up):

Finally, here are two views of the real thing: an Intercity Tilting Train (Intercity Neigezug, or ICN) soaring over the other main tracks at full speed:

At the time these photos were made, on March 8, 2001, the inbound suburban (S-Bahn) track was being rebuilt, and thus appears as a strip of dirt between the two other main tracks on the lower level.
