Altstetten: Train-number display

The train-number display (Zugnummern-Bild) is a read-only diagram showing the section number of each electrically-isolated section of track known as a block (Abschnitt).

When a track section has been cleared for a train, or the train occupies it, the train's number appears in place of the track section number in the train number fields (Zugnummerfelder).

Here is what the Altstetten operator sees on the read-only train number display:

  • White digits: track section number. Section is neither occupied nor reserved for a train.

  • Green digits: train path reserved (Fahrweg eingestellt) to here

  • Black letters on red background: train here.
